16(b) Accessible Chauffeur and Taxi Transfers
Chauffeur and accessible vehicle arrangements
Blue Orchid’s Concierge and Reception teams will be pleased to arrange chauffeur-driven transport for your arrival, departure or journeys during your stay.
The service can be arranged 24 hours a day through Reception or Concierge. Guests can request transport for airport and railway transfers, business meetings, sightseeing, special events or other journeys during their stay.
Blue Orchid works with trusted transport providers and can arrange an adapted or wheelchair-accessible vehicle appropriate to the guest's requirements.
To help ensure that an appropriate vehicle is available, we recommend booking in advance by providing Reception or Concierge with your preferred date and time, pick-up location, destination and any accessibility or mobility requirements that the transport provider should be made aware of.
Where transport is required at short notice, Reception or Concierge will make the necessary arrangements. Standard taxis can typically be arranged within approximately 5-6 minutes, although additional notice may be required where a particular type of adapted vehicle is required.
Hotel pick-up and drop-off takes place immediately outside the Crescent entrance.
Complimentary accessible transfers
Accessible chauffeur transfers to and from the hotel are provided free of charge to disabled hotel guests. This arrangement is available 24 hours a day and will be maintained for the lifetime of the hotel operation.

Hotel staff receive training in the hotel's emergency procedures, and designated staff are trained to undertake Fire Marshal duties.
Fire drills are undertaken every six months and recorded.
Guests who may require assistance during an emergency are encouraged to inform the hotel when booking, at check-in or at any point during their stay.
Where appropriate, the hotel will prepare a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) with the guest to identify their individual requirements and the assistance that may be required during an emergency.
During an evacuation, trained staff follow the hotel's procedures for identifying and assisting guests requiring additional support.
Disabled refuge points are incorporated into the building's emergency evacuation arrangements.
The hotel's procedures are intended to ensure that guests requiring assistance are supported in a safe, appropriate and dignified manner.
